We can evidently say that artists are not built in one night. It takes a streak of important breakouts to acquire an approval of the masses.

The year 2017 has definitely been a year of uncertainties and major drawbacks. While the year has been quite bullish for any democratic, artists seem to have found their way into politics and cultural commentary, which further fruited their talented minds.

Millions of contemporary and incredible art pieces are produced and presented which invades the hearts of people in the exhibition.

While there are a plethora of genres that art is segregated into; popular being blended artwork, portraits, graffiti, comics, spin art, landscapes and also of particular places. Let’s bring the limelight to some of the best artworks produced by all kinds of artists throughout the world in the year 2017.


1- Raymond Bock

 

 

The masterpieces are designed using solid hardwoods, bent and straight laminations, and veneers, mostly in the form of containers and vessels.

Raymond Bock has been creating furniture pieces of the various motifs and has expanded his horizons to allow himself certain freedom. The use of contrasting wood colours has allowed him to fetch an award at the lake boat artist festival, 2017.

 

2-Marcello Barenghi

 

 

Marcello has been an artist since the time he was as small as almost two. He is an Italian artist who has attended the Art School “Bocconi” in Milan from where he learned how to use different tools to enhance his artworks. He is popular for turning the common things into realistic art. Some of the recent artworks include drawing battle of bastard’s game of thrones, drawing coca cola green glass etc.

 

3- Akiane Kramarik

 

Another renowned painter of 2017 is Akiane Kramarik, who has been talented since a tender age. She was thoroughly supported by her mother and despite a rough childhood, she became one of the successful artists of today’s world with her artwork presented at several galleries, museums and private mansions all around the world. Some of the popular artworks by her are the Supreme Sanctuary (painted when she was just 11), The Prince of Peace (a real painting of Lord Jesus which was made at age of 8), the focus and lilies of the Valley.

 

4-Richard Mosse

 

 

This popular Irish artist has been into news due to his works in conceptual documentary photography, and his presentation of contemporary art. Born in Ireland, studied in London and received his MFA in 2008 from Yale University, now lives and works in New York, Berlin and Germany. You can enjoy his photographs of minute prints and multiple details which are honoured in the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. Some of the popular photographs by Mosse include the war images of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which was later made into a film.

 

5- Emanuele Dascanio

 

 

This Italian artist of our generation was born in 1983 in Garbagnate Milanese. Having a great interest in art and a passion for painting, he got into an art school where he expanded his knowledge of oil painting in which now he excels. He skilfully seduces you by various still life objects which looks somehow real and can easily befool you. He added in an interview that it is the content of the image that he cares about and he does not have a favourite subject that he works on. He produces allegorical images from his intuitions and transmits only the content he wishes to express. Some of his popular works include Depositio Maddalenae, the father does not want a divorce, portrait of Monica etc.


6- Krysti Ellen

 

 

One of the self-taught artists, she was more of a cosmetologist who stood out from the crowd by her originality and creativity. She uses paints and colours to produce fantasy and horror looks which makes her really popular and different. She paints using her cosmetic skills over her body and faces weirdly in vibrant designs, which sometimes transform her to a fairy and other times to some creepy spider monster. She is quite famous for her cool material and artwork and has a decent fan following.


7- John Lurie

 

 

This American musician, painter, actor, director, and producer got highlighted when his first artwork was featured at Anton Kern Gallery in 2004 and thereafter he got popular. He has been into painting since the 1970s when his paintings were more of pencil and watercolors until he finally opted oil. He has also released two books, ‘Learn to draw’ which are more of a guide and other is ‘A fine example of Art’ which compiles around 80 pieces of his art. Apart from the other popular artworks by Lurie, the one which got really popular on Russian websites as a meme was ‘the Bear Surprise’ which was a watercolor painting. His work has been showcased in Contemporary Arts Centre, Musee Des Beaux-Arts De Montreal, the NEXT Art Fair in Chicago, the Musee d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean and the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art etc.

 

8- Brendan Monroe

 

 

The popular sculptor who belongs to America has been known to constantly come up with new ideas and mediums. He is an even famous painter who has been featured in New American Paintings, The New Yorker, and The New York Times. Born in 1980, and studied at Art Centre in Pasadena, he is presently working in Oakland, CA. the beholders are dazzled by his ability to combine fantasy and reality into such unseen images that broadens one’s thoughts and perspectives. His art is not limited to local magazines but spreads nationally and internationally.

 

9-Richard Prince

 

 

This talented old American artist is referred as the ‘most revered artist of his generation’. He is an amazing painter and photographers who came to light when his first re-photographed image was auctioned at more than $1 million. He showed interest in art at a young age and since the 1970s he began presenting his work in various art galleries and exhibitions. Prince also created a mini museum which burned down shortly. The art created by him has been going viral since ever and has been featured in places like, Mexico City, “Hoodwinked”, Nyehaus, NY, “Blind Cut”, Marlborough Gallery Chelsea, NY, “I, You, We,” Whitney Museum of American Art, “Disturbing Innocence” etc.

 

10- Ed Ruscha

 

 

He was an American artist who was associated with Pop art movement. He has always been unique in presenting his art and has worked in the field of films, photography, drawing, printmaking, and painting. His work has mostly been influenced by art movement and beat generation, striving to create something different using surreal objects like blood and dust in his paintings. He is even a brilliant artist and humorous photographer who create magical effects and ironies to entertain his audience. He gets inspired by what people say and turns them into art. Some of his pieces include Brave Men Run In My Family, Angry Because It’s Plaster, Not Milk, I Don’t Want No Retrospective etc.
