§ 01 — Profile
Asif Kamal opened Alturaash Art in 2011, while still studying for his MBA, as a gallery promoting art from India. In 2014 he moved to Dubai and has been building there ever since, turning a gallery into an international house for auctions, advisory and investment. Along the way he became one of the Indian art market's most outspoken voices on authentication.
In 2021 he began building what he describes as the world's first tokenisation platform for fine art, which became the Artfi ecosystem. He authored the ART-20 (Asset Reference Token) standard on Sui, brought Salman Khan's art on-chain, and today works on art advisory, art-and-Bitcoin asset management and DeFi infrastructure.
He has also taught entrepreneurship to children in Delhi government schools under the city's Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum.

Real-world-asset tokenisation lets a masterpiece be owned by thousands, not one. Initiated with Artfi and codified in ART-20.
A market built on trust needs people willing to question provenance publicly, even at the world's biggest auction houses.
One physical, one digital. Held together, they form a new kind of reserve, which is the thinking behind ArtBit.
Bringing Salman Khan's paintings on-chain showed that celebrity art can bring retail audiences into art ownership.
Savings circles, credit and markets that run on code and community trust rather than gatekeepers.
The next founders are sitting in government classrooms today. Giving them the mindset early changes what they believe is possible.
